Here’s our next big news. On June 2nd our newest member of the family arrived. She was so tiny she only weighed 4lb 5oz. for an Egley baby that’s tiny. I am used to 8-10lb babies. her mom Sativa did very well and Jared also did very well. Paytin delivered sooner than anyone expected her to.
The whole time at the end that the Drs thought Sativa was having contractions she was actually pushing Paytin out. when the Dr came to check her he was surprised to see a head and then Paytin just came right on out. She is adorable. she has long blond hair like her daddy in fact she looks a lot like her dad but also looks like her mom. Paytin stayed, I think about 15 days in the nicu before she could come home. but now she weighs over 6 lb’s and is doing great. Little Audrina loves her baby sister so much, as do we all.
Speaking of our Audrina. we discovered that she had a broken arm. We don’t know how it happened, Her biological father said she did fall down while he had her a few days before Paytin was born so that may have been when it happened but we really don’t know. But every once in a while she would say her arm hurt. we didn’t notice it until it started swelling. Jared and Sativa were so busy going to the hospital every day so Amy and I took Audrina to the Dr and had her arm x-rayed. sure enough it was broken, So Jared and Sativa took her to a specialist and had it casted.
Audrina has been a real trooper about the cast. she is such a tuff, sweet little darling.
