General Conference Weekend

I’m a little behind so it’s time to catch up. This month was General Conference which was awesome.  Many many great talks which I will talk about later in my blogging. but that weekend Ben came home to work on his truck and change the engine with his dad’s help, his was shot. So he brought Katie and Madison to stay with us for the weekend and David was not coming home so Amy came out on Sunday  for General Conference.  I always enjoy having the grandkids here for a visit. While the first session of Saturdays conference was on the girls made paper flowers and in-between the first and second session I taught them to make pin cushions that look like hats.  My mother taught me to make them about 45 years ago so I could send one to my grandmother Rhoades for her birthday. It was fun and grandma loved it. she used it for the rest of her life which was 18 years. then we found it in her things with her pins in it. So I got it back and I have used it for the last 27 years all the decorations had fallen off but it still works well as a pin cushions. so here are the picture of our Conference Saturday.  I have to mention that while the girls were sewing on their pin cushions Madison pipes up and says “ I LOVE GRANDMAS, THEY DO THE MOST INTERESTING THINGS”  I hope she always feels that way.

On Sunday Amy came out and brought Jenna and Isaac and Sarah Saville, Ben has been dating Sarah since he moved into Pocatello and quite likes her. She is a sweet girl who has a testimony of the gospel  so of course we like her.  But we liked her before she and Ben started dating. After all the conference talks were over the kids went out and went sledding, Yes we did have enough snow to go sleigh riding. I wish I was not able to claim that we could sleigh ride the first week of April but we did. here are the pic’s of the kids sleigh riding, And Ben got his motor cycle out and he and I went for a ride down the road on it. We were trying to convince Sarah it was safe, but I guess she just didn’t want to ride it.
