Ben’s senior project.

Ben has kept us all running it seams.  He has wanted to graduate early and not have to go back to high school the third trimester.  But he has had to wait for me to get the money for his senior project since it is a love seat glider for the front porch that I have wanted for a long time. I said I would pay for the glider if he wanted to make it. It turned out to be more of a project than any of us thought it would. but he has a great mentor who wish’s to remain anonymous but who has really taught Ben the right way to build it. He has an awesome shop and has given Ben a great deal of his time helping him. We are truly appreciative of his help. Grant and I have been down there taking pictures of the progress he has made for his class presentation. Ben has learned a great deal about woodwork and his mentor has said he is a fast learner and enjoys working with him.  here are some of the pictures we have taken. Oh and I must say Thanks to Sarah and Melinda Saville for bringing cookies to the builders, and cookies and soup and rolls to our family last Saturday. I was sick with a bad bug and felt horrible. They brought us dinner, it was so kind of them. and Melinda visited with me while I was home alone while Sarah helped take pictures at the shop. I should mention Melinda is my Amy’s sister in law but has become a true friend to our whole family and Sarah is her daughter who is two years younger than Ben and Sarah and Ben have been doing a little dating which I suspect is the real reason for the cookies for the builders LOL. We love the Saville and Malm families.
